I’m sitting in Starbucks near the Laser Tag place where Cory is at a birthday party. This is not the part of town I usually frequent and just upon cursory observation, it appears that I may be the only patron at this Starbucks who is not sporting a tatoo.
I would like to rave about my latest favorite website: http://caloriecount.about.com Not only does it allow me to keep a daily food log and activity log, it also keeps track of the nutritional content of what I eat, will display a pie chart of where my calories have come from that day, and it will give me a grade! A grade! Now this is a tool I can sink my teeth into. I totally want an “A” every day. For the day today I am sitting on a B but the day is young. I have the chance to make up for this latte later.
This morning I told a friend I had given up sugar. She said “AGAIN?!” Yeah, again. And if I look the month I was sugar free last year, I call that an accomplishment. She scoffed at me and said I didn’t need to lose weight. It’s not about that. It’s about stewardship and management. It’s all a matter of perspective, I guess.
